Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum’s Transitional Justice Public Forum in Gweru

The Forum is of the view that, Zimbabwe’s transitional justice processes should be indigenous, victim-centered and,  participatory (consultative in nature). Having said that the Public Fora are intended to promote discussion within the communities on relevant measures and methods for plausible ways of dealing with past human rights injustices and violations. The programme will also aim to provide ordinary Zimbabweans with basic information on what TJ is and what it means for their communities as well as addressing issues raised in the National Survey report from their regions.

The third  public forum was held in Gweru, Midlands Province on 19 June 2012. Please view the report here…TJ Public Forum in Gweru
