The Africa Human Rights Day commemorations were hosted by the Forum in conjunction with Zimrights and the Legal Resources Foundation in Zvishavane on 19 October 2012. The commemoration started with a march across town to a stadium where the participants were given solidarity speeches by CSO representatives present and a keynote address by a representative from a partner of the Forum. The event was supported by members of the community and civil society organisations from Gweru and Masvingo.  A police public relations officer also substantiated on the role of the police in giving information and assisting members of the public with preserving peace and order.
