Today the 6th of November 2014, Itai Dzamara, the organiser of Occupy Africa Unity Square and two co-protestors, were once again severely assaulted by riot police. The three, Itai Dzamara, Tafadzwa Charumbira and Tichaona were indiscriminately assaulted all over their bodies until Dzamara fell unconscious. Dzamara and colleagues had planned to march in the city centre to raise awareness of the Occupy Africa Unity Square project. Since 17 October, Itai has been camping in Africa Unity Square after handing a petition to the president’s office requesting that the President steps down for failure to run the country.
