A particularly worrying trend is the selective application of the law and criminalization of lawful political activities by the Zimbabwe Republic Police when dealing with opposition political parties.
January sets forth a worrying trend of increasing violence that saw 2007 to be the year with most violations documented by the Forum, since the inception of its comprehensive monitoring in 2001.
