In this issue, we consider the human rights of old people. It is prticularly appropriate to do so, because the only ‘political’ death recorded this month was that of 77- year-old Ralph Fenwick COBBETT, a farmer from Kwekwe. Our condolences go to his family and friends. We hope that in future elderly people may be spared death in our political mayhem.
The Human Rights Monthly analyses national and international provisions on the rights of pensioners, not least in regard to their material situation. It represents the most comprehensive analysis of this in the context of Zimbabwe.
